私としては大学では「もの」を考え、そうでない人は「つくり」を担う…、「もの」と「つくり」は分けたほうが良いと思っています。「つくり」はどこでつくってもいいんですよ。これを見事にやっているのが現在のアメリカ。アメリカのつくりは1980年代、日本に奪われてしまいました。だからアメリカは「つくり」を止めて「もの」で勝負した。そうして出てきたのがマイクロソフト、インテル、グーグル、ヤフー、アップルなんです。アップルのiPhoneやiPadは「もの」ですが、その「つくり」は台湾や中国に任せているし、それを日本人も買っている。実際、世界中で売れているでしょ？ ものに付加価値があるからです。本当は日本がそういう「もの」を生み出さないといけないし、その技術力も持っていました。しかしあまりにも「つくり」に傾注してしまったため、「もの」をちょっと忘れてしまったのではないかというのが私の仮説なんです。
